CHAPTER 4:🛡️ AGENTS OF ORDER: ANALYSIS LOG 90‑Σ “THREAD OF THE PARALLAX”

By: Agents of Order
Date: June 5, 2026
Location: ORDER BLACKSITE — DIMENSIONAL LAB, SUBLEVEL 9

The Dimensional Lab hums with containment fields and anti‑chaos stabilizers.

Liger Llama stands inside a transparent hexagonal chamber, arms at his sides, breathing steady but uneasy.

The Parallax Thread inside him glows faintly—visible only through specialized Order lenses.

Agent K stands at the observation console.

“Begin analysis.”

🔥 PART I — INITIAL SCAN

Agent I activates the dimensional scanners.

Holographic projections bloom around Liger’s body—mapping energy flows, distortions, and anomalies.

A thin violet filament pulses at his sternum.

Agent I frowns.

“There it is. The Parallax Thread. It’s dormant… but reactive.”

Agent O adjusts the stabilizers.

“Reactive how?”

Agent I zooms in on the projection.

“It responds to emotional spikes. Fear, doubt, ambition. Anything that destabilizes identity.”

Agent Y taps the glass.

“So basically, it’s a cosmic mood ring.”

Liger groans.

“Can we not?”

Agent K ignores the banter.

“Proceed.”

🔥 PART II — THREAD BEHAVIOR

Agent I narrates as the hologram shifts.

“The Thread is not a parasite. It’s not feeding on him. It’s… observing.”

Agent J steps from the shadows.

“Observing what?”

Agent I’s visor flickers.

“His choices.”

Agent L‑1 crosses his arms.

“Explain.”

Agent I enlarges the projection.

“The Parallax Thread is a narrative tether. It doesn’t control Liger. It monitors him. It tracks divergence points—moments where his story could branch.”

Agent L‑2 growls.

“So Parallax can yank him back whenever it wants.”

Agent I shakes her head.

“No. It can’t pull him. Not yet. The Thread is incomplete.”

Agent K leans forward.

“Incomplete how?”

Agent I hesitates.

“It’s waiting for something.”

🔥 PART III — LIGER’S TEST

Agent K steps into the chamber.

“Liger. We need to test the Thread’s response.”

Liger nods.

“Tell me what to do.”

Agent K gestures.

“Think about the moment you almost accepted the Parallax’s offer.”

Liger’s eyes widen.

“You want me to—”

“Yes.”

Liger closes his eyes. The Thread pulses.

Once.

Twice.

Then violently.

The hologram flares.

Agent O shouts:

“Energy spike! Containment rising!”

Agent Y grips her baton.

“Don’t make me smack the extradimensional out of you, Llama!”

Liger gasps, clutching his chest.

“It’s—pulling—memories—”

Agent K steps closer.

“Stay with me. What is it showing you?”

Liger’s voice trembles.

“A version of me… who said yes.”

Agent J’s eyes narrow.

“What does that version look like?”

Liger opens his eyes.

And they glow violet.

“Perfect.”

🔥 PART IV — COUNTERMEASURES

Agent K signals.

“Cut the feed!”

Agent O slams the emergency dampener.

The chamber floods with anti‑chaos light.

Liger collapses to his knees, breathing hard.

The Thread dims.

Agent I checks the readings.

“It’s stabilizing. But the Thread reacted exactly as expected.”

Agent K turns to her.

“Meaning?”

Agent I projects a new diagram.

“The Thread is a trigger. It activates when Liger approaches a major narrative decision. The Parallax wants to see which version of him he becomes.”

Agent Y whistles.“So it’s not controlling him. It’s scouting him.”

Agent I nods.

“Exactly. It’s gathering data. Waiting for a moment when Liger’s identity is vulnerable.”

Agent L‑1 rumbles:

“And then?”

Agent I’s voice drops.

“Then it will try to rewrite him.”

🔥 PART V — THE THREAD’S PURPOSE

Agent K folds his arms.

“What is the Parallax’s endgame with Liger?”

Agent I brings up a final projection.

“The Thread is a seed. Not for control… but for selection.”

Agent J steps closer.

“Selection of what?”

Agent I looks at Liger.

“Of which version of him becomes canon.”

Liger’s voice cracks.

“So I’m… a draft?”

Agent K shakes his head.

“No. You’re the original. That’s why Parallax wants you.”

Agent Y smirks.“Congrats. You’re the main character of a cosmic rewrite.”

Liger groans.

“Great. Just what I needed.”

🔥 PART VI — THE DECISION

Agent K turns to the team.

“Recommendations.”

Agent I:

“We can isolate the Thread, but not remove it. Not without risking Liger’s identity integrity.”

Agent O:

“We can dampen it. Limit its activation.”

Agent L‑1:

“Or we can force it to activate and destroy it.”

Agent Y twirls her baton.

“I vote for violence.”

Agent J shakes her head.

“Too risky. If the Thread fully activates, Parallax might breach through him.”

Agent K looks at Liger.

“You have a choice.”

Liger stands, breathing steady.

“What are my options?

”Agent K lists them:

Dampen the Thread — Reduce Parallax influence but keep the Thread intact.

Force activation — Trigger the Thread and attempt to destroy it.

Use the Thread as bait — Lure Parallax into a controlled trap.

Attempt removal — High risk. High reward. High chance of catastrophic identity collapse.

Agent K meets Liger’s eyes.“The choice is yours.”

Which path do you choose?
